Getting Involved: the Baseball Edition

Many people are not sure on what they can do to help human trafficking. However, The Not For Sale Campaign is one of the few companies that are trying different ways to stop it. With its new Team For Sale Roster, this campaign is engaging Americans in the cause.  Like my mother always says, everyone needs a helping hand to change something.

Professional baseball player Jeremy Affeldt, is the player that the Team For Sale Roster initiated with. After joining on his off season, Jeremy went to Thailand to actually see some of the victims he was helping. After he came back, he began to bring other baseball players to the roster. As of now the roster consists of 30 players! However, Jeremy hasn't stopped there.

The step after joining this cause is to set up and make your contribution. Their contribution is based off of their statistics and the money he can give. Jeremy, for example, has to pay $250 for every strikeout he has. This is a great way to set the stage for those who closely watch these role models while helping stop human trafficking.
