The Superbowl is one of the biggest sporting events in America. However, it is not all it is known for. The Superbowl is know to many others in the human trafficking industry as a weekend to bring in more profit. With many different people coming to see this live sporting event, the new customers increase.
Many people such as Ms. Greenlee, were trafficked around the large sporting events. Ms. Greenlee said that she was forced to reach a certain number of customers in this high traffic time. In addition she was beaten if she did not make her quota, as many were who had endless customers. However, true events are not enough for those who believe human trafficking is not prevalent in American Society.
Critics say believe it is impossible for these turn of event to happen during a large influx of police officers patrolling. This is because they believe many people would be caught during this time, thus they believe it is impossible for others to due so under this supervision. However, others believe it is worth the risk for those in the human trafficking ring. This is primarily because the of the massive amount of money to be maid.
